Yuen Chan is currently Senior Lecturer at the School of Journalism and Communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where she oversees the student practicum magazine Varsity, and is a founding member of Journalism Educators for Press Freedom. She is a journalist who has worked in print, television and radio as a reporter, anchor, presenter and columnist based in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. Her work has appeared in the South China Morning Post, on RTHK, the BBC World Service, CBC, ABC, KQED, CNN International, Al Jazeera and Huffington Post.
